both instruments are controlled from the same panel. By linking these
instruments the RT-900 becomes a
"smart" refractor by doing such things as adding the correct accessory
lenses when a particular chart is accessed, occluding an eye when the
cross-cyl slide is selected, or even
fogging when the duochrome slide is selected.
